Well you're in luck, Sonucais just launched the 2.0 version of Flash Forwarder Tools. Personally I've been using the first version or Ruffle to play flash games here. Maybe you can give that a try. I'll link you to the post: https://sonucais.newgrounds.com/news/post/1490292
But if you really want to use the Newgrounds Player, then try installing some of the previous versions. Also you can force a submission to use ruffle by putting "/format/flash?emulate=flash" at the end of the URL.
